BANGKOK, Thailand — Filipinos JV Tuazon, Ador Torres, Lemuel Kenneth De Barbo, and Jomar Fajardo scored fast and exciting KO victories on Saturday, July 12, in the Kingdom of Thailand!
The four Filipino pro boxers fought in the thrilling Brico Santig's 9-bout event, hugely entertaining boxing fans in the beautiful "Land of Smiles."
Filipino veteran and former ABF titlist Jomar Fajardo (18-18-2, 10 KOs) of Maasin, Iloilo, successfully returned to boxing action, stopping younger Amon Sumalee in a 135-pound weight class saga. (photo)
In addition. strong Bicolano southpaw Ador Torres (14-7-1, 10 KOs) of Magdalena, Sorsogon Province, overpowered Thailand's Sakda Thongkhot in a harsh welterweight division encounter.
In women's action, beautiful Super Flyweight Efasha Kamarudin (8-0-1, 6 KOs) from “The Lion City,” Singapore, was too strong and accurate, harshly decking Fasai Wongkattaleekharn, forcing lady referee Mrs. Phakaphon Songmani to stop the match.
Moreover, unbeaten 29-year-old Pinoy warrior Lemuel Kenneth “Dash Pirate” De Barbo (3-0, 3 KOs) successfully ravaged Butsakon Mungchueaklang in the Super Featherweight fight. The referee for the rumble was Kris Sanjadey (Top photo).
In the show’s co-main event, Filipino-American "The Fight Doc" JV Tuazon (6-4-2, 4 KOs), born in the Philippines and living in New Jersey, USA, bombed Thanakrit Suepchao out of the water during their tough 126-lbs division encounter.
In the main event, undefeated 6'2" tall Iranian Middleweight Amir Hossein Samiei (7-0, 7 KOs) used his height, speed, reach, and power to dominate the brave, more-experienced former Muay Thai combatant Wanphichit Siriphana. The referee was Carlos Costa.
In an all-Thai affair, Pantakarn Patummassopon dominated Thanathorn Piamsak until referee Carlos Costa waived off the 126-pound battle.
Featherweight Hein Zarni Oo boxed and controlled Naratip Maneewong in another intense war. Oo found an opening in his foe's defense and launched a tough attack, forcing referee Carlos Costa to intervene.
The afternoon of pro boxing was sanctioned and supervised by the Thailand Boxing Commission, with authorities Chairman Worawuth Duankhao, and Mr. Voratep Pienvej overseeing the event.
