MELVIN “El Gringo” Jerusalem retained his WBC World Boxing Council World minimum title against former champion Yudai Shigeoka by unanimous decision tonight at the Aichi Sky Expo in Tokoname, Japan.

The 31-year-old Jerusalem controlled the fight from the start of their 12-round scheduled title fight.

Jerusalem kept his right straight all the time to stop Shigeoka’s counter punches.
