March 12, 2025 – Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz proudly announces the signing of super welterweight prospect Isaac “La Bestia Jr.” Lucero (16-0, 12 KOs) to a co-promotional agreement, along with Mexico-based promoter Eric Ibarra of TM Boxing.
The 26-year-old Lucero hasn’t fought outside Mexico since his pro debut in 2019, a first-round knockout over Anthony Zender in Los Angeles. Lucero won the WBC Youth Silver Welter in 2021 with a seventh-round stoppage of countryman Dilan Loza Burgos and successfully defended it twice before relinquishing.
From Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, Lucero recently traveled to Las Vegas to begin training under the tutelage of award-winning trainer Bob Santos at his VIP Gym, and says he’s pleased to now be working with the well-known PBC and ProBox TV-affiliated Lewkowicz.
“First of all, I want to thank God for this opportunity,” said Lucero. “I'm very happy and excited to join forces with Mr. Sampson Lewkowicz, who has placed his trust in me. I will work very hard to repay him with victories and go as far as possible in the sport I love.
Ibarra, a longtime staple of Mexican boxing, echoed the fighter’s sentiments. "I'm very happy about this agreement,” said Ibarra. “Sampson is a dear friend and a great promoter. I'm confident this decision is the right one. With his support and his team, we'll soon put Isaac Lucero's name in the spotlight of international boxing."
“Working with Bob Santos will turn this very good boxer into a great one,” said a confident Lewkowicz. “I’m happy to be Isaac Lucero’s co-promoter, along with my old friend Eric Ibarra, and we will get to work on establishing him as a known name in the US boxing scene by securing him the correct fights and eventually helping him become a world champion.”
