"Be a Master" Open Chess Tournament and Elementary Chess Challenge on February 16

All is set for the staging of "Be a Master" Open Chess Tournament and Elementary Chess Challenge on February 16, 2025 at the Robinsons Balibago, Angeles City , Pampanga.

Backed up by FIDE Master Angelito "Anji" Camer, the one day tournament, 15 minutes plus 3 seconds increment time control format features 2 division.

The champion in the Open Chess Tournament will earn P5,000.
The second placer will get P3,000, third placer will receive P1,500, fourth placer will bring home P1,000 while the fifth placer will pocket P500.

Sixth to 10th placers will bring home P300 each.

The champion in the Elementary Chess Challenge will receive P1,000, while the second to third placer will pocket P700 and P400, respectively.

P300 each for the fourth, fifth, Top Female and Top Youngest participant.

"We are excited to invite you to participate in the "Be a Master" Open Chess Tournament and Elementary Chess Challenge on February 16, 2025 at the Robinsons Balibago, Angeles City, Pampanga," said tournament director multi-titled coach National Master Homer Cunanan.

Among the early entries are Tiv Omangay, John Paul Mahawan, Cyrus Luis Mahawan. Arnel Mahawan, Reece Carmelo Nunez, Sydney Louis Manlutac, Lloyd Cedric Sepada, Aleia Cassandra Teberio, Khristian Clyde Arellano, Robelle De Jesus, Vince Albert Arellano, Phoebie Angel Arellano, Miguel Roque, Kirsten Roque,Arvex Donry Amora Ong and Joshua Mallari.
