Chester Neil Reyes powers IIEE Quezon in Semis of D’ 3rd Engineers Cup in Dugout 1594

Chester Neil Reyes led the IIEE Quezon over IIEE Singapore, 52-27, with his unbeaten record in the playoff. He also halved a point with his brother FM Narquingden Reyes, there first encounter in lichess platform. IIEE Singapore was led by FM Christian Gian Karlo Arca, FM Alekhine Nouri, FM Nelson Mariano III, FM Julius Joseph De Ramos and FM Reyes. Chester teammates in IIEE Quezon includes his brother Narquingel Reyes, FM Mark Jay Bacojo, FM Christian Mark Daluz. IM Michael Concio Jr. and Sherwin Tiu.

Meanwhile Sherwin Tiu bagged the Championship in the Armageddon 8 series VI beating IM Jose Efren Bagamasbad in the final game in a double knockout format. Tiu won over Ronald Donasco, NM Edmundo Gatus and Stephen Manzanero while IM Bagamasbad after a loss in his first game to Jeremy Marticio climbed the ladder by beating NM Romeo Alcodia, CM Genhis Imperial, NM Gatus, Marticio and Manzanero. The Series VII and VIII will be played on February 14, 2025 at Dugout 1594 and February 20, 2025 at Fort Ilocandia Resort Laoag City. The Armageddon Battle of Champions will be held on March 8, 2025 at Koten Gym Pasay City where the champion will bring home P7000 and special painting while the runner up at P3000.

Both tournaments were part of the PTC World Engineering Day 2025 and 1st National Engineering Month which is celebrated every March of the year with the 13 engineering associations in the Philippines hosted by the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE).
