
Rapid Chess Tournament goes to Laguna

Manila---The Master Merano Chess Club Inc. (MMCCI) will hold its first chess tournament on December 22, 2024 at St. Francis 10 Subdivision Covered Court, Brgy. San Antonio, Binan City, Laguna.
According to spokesperson Samivin Delos Santos, the 1 day rapid tournament, 7 round Swiss system format is open to all NCFP 1950 and below limit rating.
Exclusively only to all 1st District Laguna resident such as San Pedro, Binan and Santa Rosa.
The Open champion will earn P6,000 while the kiddies 14 years old and below winner will receive P4.000.
"MMCCI was incorporated in the SEC last October 2024. MMCCI mission and vision is to create future masters in the first district of laguna to mold the youth and promote chess in the 1st district," said Delos Santos, formerly varsity chess player of Adamson University during his College days.
National Master Ricky Merano is the founder & President of MMCCI.
Other officials of MMCCI are Nicolas Marino (VP for San Pedro:), Rodolfo Diokno (VP for Biñan), Angeline Siaga (VP for Sta. Rosa), Samivin de los Santos (Corporate Secretary), Katrina Merano (Treasure) and Glenn Javier (Auditor).
