
IIEE Quezon import Reymond Jay Ompod rules 2nd edition of the Armageddon 8

Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IIEE) Quezon import Reymond Jay Ompod won the 2nd edition of the Armageddon 8 at Latte Lounge Sta. Rosa. Laguna on Sunday, December 15, 2024 with former Philippine Executive Chess Association President Dr. Fred Paez as runner up.
Both qualify for the 2nd Armageddon Battle of Champions to be held at Koten Pasay City on March 8, 2025.
The 1st edition qualifier was National Master Almario Marlon Quiroz Bernardino Jr. and National Master Jeremy Marticio.
One of the edition will be held in Bicol on January 24, 2025.
The IIEE Southern Luzon Region representative for the Inter-Luzon Qualifier on September 12, 2025 will be led by Edmund Daluddung together with Alex Guingab, Novo Tuazon and Jpol Crispo (alternate).
In VIChess (3-player), the Laguna team tandem of Novo Tuazon and Jerome Prudencio bested teams from Batangas and Quezon.
Meanwhile, IIEE Central Laguna Chapter will host the elimination round of 3x3 Basketball for Southern Luzon Region to be held on December Dec 21, 2024 at the National University, Calamba ,Laguna.-Marlon Bernardino-
