El Presidente, Grand Maestro, Kamatyas, Flash Arca and Gwapings to grace the 49th IIEE ANC and Golden sports on November 28 to 30 at SMX Pasay City

The IIEE Annual National Convention (ANC), in its 49th year, will be held in SMX Pasay City from November 25 to 30, 2024 to be attended by over 8000 seminar participants and over 25000 exhibit viewers.

On November 28, the launching of the IIEE Golden sports will be inaugurated by Chairman Arthur Lopez and the 2024 National President Florigo Varona. Ceremonial chess moves and flying drone soccer will be done together with El Presidente Ramon Fernandez, Grand Maestro Joey Antonio and Kamatyas IM Roderick Nava together with the Philippines Drone Soccer Association (PDSA). A 3-day chess simultaneous and several IIEE-Kamatayas mini-tournament will be handled by International Arbiter Ricky Navalta. IIEE-Bayanihan will have 3-player VIChess, 9th SIKAT and the Armageddon Battle of Champions Tournament with Fide Masters Robert Suelo (replacing 2nd and 5th edition SIKAT Champion NM Marlon Bernardino), Noel Dela Cruz and Christian Gian Arca, among others.

On November 30. The launching of the PTC World Engineer day 2025 will be done together with the Philippine Technological Council (PTC) President Fred Monsada and Romy Agatep. Invited guest includes the Philippine Sports Expo president Michael Herrera, Professional Chess Association of the Philippines, Flash Arca Christian and to be hosted by Gwaping Artist Jao Mapa. There will be also art workshop to be led by Lerma Julian of Life ‘N Arts and 50 paint canvass to be assisted by KC De Guzman and the other portrait girls.

The In-season of IIEE National Olympiad 6, dubbed as 3rd D’ Engineers Cup of the PTC-WED, underway with IIEE teams Eastern Central, Mindanao, Singapore, Southern Laguna, Saudi, Iloilo and Quezon notch their first win while IIEE Bicol halves the point with Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines (GEP). IIEE Saudi with 5 wins and IIEE Western Visayas with 4 wins are the only 2 remaining teams out of 20 without a loss in the Regular season.- Marlon Bernardino -
