For the most important fight of his life, the Pinoy southpaw Jay-r Raquinel (16-2-1, 13 KO's) of Negros Occidental feels confident that he can beat the undefeated 21-year-old Yahir Frank (17-0, 12 KO's) in his own hometown of Hermosillo.
“I came here to win. I appreciate the support from fans in the Philippines. God willing, I win on Saturday (Sunday morning in the Philippines,” said Raquinel to Philboxing.
Jay-r is accompanied in Mexico by his experienced head coach sir Allan Alegria and his promoter Brico Santig, head of Highland Boxing. Frank is handled by experienced Mexican coach Alfredo Caballero, who used to train former champ Juan Francisco “El Gallo” Estrada.
The fight is a crucial one for the Filipino Raquinel as he could earn a world title shot.
As of now, “The Dreamer,” who appears to be taller than the Mexican, is rated as high as WBC #10, WBO #15, and IBF #12 in the world rankings.
Meanwhile, the Mexican Yahir Frank is WBC #5.
Will iRaquinel be the one to control the action, soundly defeating Frank in his own hometown live on various platforms.
Or will it be the younger Mexican the one to claim victory?
