Undefeated fighter Bryan James "BJ" Wild faces knockout artist Japanese Subaru Murata on July 6, 2024 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Wild of Sibagat, Agusan del Sur, is from ARQ Boxing Gym in Cebu, and had two fights last year, seizing unanimous decision victories over Danny Tampipi in April and Ryan Rey Ponteras in August. This will be the 22-year-old Wild’s first fight in the year 2024.
The 27-year-old Murata is a deadly Japanese fighter with a perfect knockout record. His latest fight was a seventh round knockout of Alex Santisima Jr., the younger brother of Jeo Santisima, last March 2 in Tokyo, Japan. Jake Amparo of PMI Bohol Boxing Stable will fight in the main event on June 24 in Bilar, Bohol. Amparo last challenged for the world title against International Boxing Federation (IBF) world minimumweight champion Ginjiri Shigeoka in Japan.
The 26-year-old Amparo was defeated by Shigeoka due to lack of preparation since he was late replacement to ArAr Andales who withdrew from the fight.
Amparo will clash with JC Francisco of Valenzuela City in an eight-rounder non-title bout. Amparo has 14 wins with six losses, one draw, and three knockouts, while Francisco is 8-16-6 with three knockouts. Francisco also is on a three-fight losing streak since 2018.
