The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves will face in the West semifinals.

All top three seeds from the West have already advanced to the next round with Denver and Minnesota starting their semi finals series on Sunday, May 4, 2024 in Denver.

Oklahoma City Thunder will still wait for the winner of the Dallas-Los Angeles Clippers series which is tied at 2-2. Chances are the wait will be long.

Nothing is clear yet from the East although Boston, New York, Cleveland and Indiana are leading Miami, Philadelphia, Orlando and Milwaukee in their series.

The Celtics are ahead 3-1 over Miami which they host tomorrow. Boston is favored to end the series with the way their starters are playing.

It's different in the cases of the Knicks and the Cavaliers which, although both are leading 3-2 over the 76ers and the Magic, both are the visitors for the vital sixth game in Philadelphia and Orlando respectively.

The Indiana Pacers, losers today versus the Milwaukee Bucks, 115-92 will return home also holding a 3-2 series advantage.

The home team has won all the games in the Cavaliers-Magic series and if the pattern holds, a seventh game would be needed with Cleveland having the homecourt advantage.

The winner will face most likely Boston.

New York and Philadelphia have stolen a game each at the host's homecourt, the latest is today's overtime victory by the Sixers over the Knicks, 112-106 with Tyrese Maxey having the turn to have a Jordanesque performance at the Madison Square Garden arena.

The winner will face either the Pacers or the Bucks.

There is no discounting that many of these outstanding series will go the full seven games route.
