Prior to his second Olympic boxing stint in Paris this July, Eumir Felix Marcial will fight his fifth professional bout in a major MP Promotions offering at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Ermita, Manila, this March 23.

Marcial will take on Thai veteran Thoedsak Sinam in an eight-round pro bout serving as the undercard for the main ten-round event between rated minimumweights Samuel Salva and Cris Ganoza. The main supporting bouts, also set for eight rounds, will feature promising Filipino fighters Leinard Sarcon and Jerald Into.

Featherweight Sarcon will face China's Peng Huang, while lightweight Into will be tested against veteran internationalist Jhon Gemino.

Marcial is expected to make Sinam (23-13-0) his fifth professional victim since turning pro in late 2020. He has defeated all his previous opponents: Andrew Whitfield (UD 6), Isiah Hart (TKO 4/6), Steven Pichardo (UD 6), and Ricardo Ruben Villalba (TKO W/8).

Marcial's fight serves as part of his buildup for his Paris Olympics boxing campaign, where he hopes to improve on his bronze medal finish in Tokyo 2021.

Eyes will also be on Sarcon and Into, who are seen as some of the country's newest breed of fighters with the potential to compete for world championships someday.

Sarcon (11-0, 4KOs) gained prominence by traveling to South Korea and defeating then-undefeated Jeon Sung Kang in his first ten-rounder, scoring a knockdown in the process. Kang had previously beaten Pinoy fighters Tomjune Mangubat (SD), John Ray Logatiman (UD) and Pete Apolinar (KO). Sarcon followed it up with an eight-round unanimous decision win over Frank Gonzales in the USA.

Into on the other hand had some prominent names as victims including Leonardo Doronio, Monico Laurente, Eduardo Mancito and Vietnam's top lightweight Nguyen Van Hai.

However, Into will face a stern test in Gemino, who has experience fighting on several continents against some of the world's top super featherweights and lightweights. Gemino's record might therefore be slightly misleading.

There will be a total of 15 bouts on the card, which will also feature two Japanese boxers.
