TAGBILARAN, Bohol. — In thrilling fashion, Boholano 130-pounder Virgel Vitor (22-3, 15 KO’s), survived a harsh visit to the canvas to stop in seven rounds the tough and dangerous Korean warrior Tae Sun Kim (11-2-2, 8 KO’s) to conquer the WBO Oriental Super Featherweight Belt on Friday, March 7, in Tagbilaran Bohol.

Awesomely, EARLIER in round two the Pinoy knocked down the Korean Fighter, but moments later it was Vitor the one that was badly decked by Kim, being forced to dig deep to finally claim the exciting one-punch knockout WIN!

It was a huge and fantastic well-placed right hook bomb to Kim’s chin that crushed the Korean, rocking him backwards against the ropes and down flat on his back near the ring’s red corner. Kim could in no way get up being forced to just hear the 10-second count delivered by referee Atty Danrex Tapdasan.

The KO happened at exactly 49 second mark in chapter 7.

Virgel Vitor vs Tae Sun Kim is already a candidate for “Fight of the Year” in Bohol.

After the riveting knockout victory, it is possible that the 24-year-old Virgel Vitor could be included in the world ranking in the highly competitive super featherweight division.
