The 2nd Nueva Ecija Chess Knights Rapid Tournament is all set

THE 2nd Nueva Ecija Chess Knights Rapid Tournament is all set to get underway on February 25 at the SM Mega Center in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

Tournament Director Benjamin Bauto said the one-day event will be a seven-round Swiss System format applying 15 minutes plus 3 seconds increment.

The chess fest features the open and kids 13 under categories.
Cash prizes, trophy and medals await winners with the open champion taking home P5,000 while the second and fifth placers will pocket P3,000, P1,500, P1,000 and P700, respectively. Sixth to 10th placers will earn P500 each.

The best (top 2 winners) senior, female, college and high school will receive a cash prize of P300 and P200, respectively.
In 13 under, trophy, medals and cash prizes of P2,000, P1,000,P700, P500, P400, P200 and P100 will be awarded to the top 15 winners.
