
King's Gambit Online Chess School Players Dominate Chess Tournaments

King's Gambit Online Chess School Players of Coach Richard Villaseran continue to stamp its class winning several tournaments nationwide.
Youngsters 13-year-olds Pat Ferdolf Macabulos and National Master Al-Basher "Basty" Buto ruled the Olongapo Rapid Highschool chess tournament and the 1st Noypi FIDE-rated Standard tournament respectively. Both scored perfect 6 wins out of 6 games in their separate tournaments.
The Olongapo Rapid Highschool chess tournament held last Saturday in Olongapo City while the 1st Noypi FIDE-rated Standard tournament, which took place at Robinsons Metro East in Pasig City over the weekend of January 20–21, 2024.
Jian Carlo Rivera placed 4th behind NM Buto and 2 veteran players while WNM Jersey Martcio took home the top lady prize for the same tournament.
Other King's Gambit Online Chess players who shined were 11-year-old Joriel James Yap (gold medalist individual and team silver medalist of the DACS Sportsfest 2024 and top U11 of APM Developmental; Open Chess Tournament), 7 year old Artjoe Capatan, Municipal meet gold medalist, 7 year Eleazar Sanido who claimed back-to-back Top U8 category awards (GM Balinas U18 and 3rd Noypi Chess Tournament), 13 year old Dwayne Alekhine Sapuan (blitz champion and 3rd place rapid of the Valencia District Athletic Meet), Ser Markell Lunaria, school campion.
