WBO ORIENTAL TITLE FIGHT ON "THE MAIN EVENT?

Young Richie Mepranum?s quest for the WBO Oriental flyweight title against undefeated Tanzanian Juma Seleman Fundi will be telecast on Sunday, June 15 at 9:00 p.m. over IBC 13.

The telecast which is replayed the following Sunday at 10:00 p.m. over Viva Prime which is also carried by Destiny Cable is sponsored by Tanduay, the No.1 Rhum and supported by Pagcor, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation.

Mepranum whose biggest win so far was an eighth round split decision over Philippine flyweight champion Rocky Fuentes last December at the Araneta Coliseum has a record of 12-2-1 with 3 knockouts while Fundi is unscathed with a record of 7-0 with 4 knockouts.

Another potentially exciting title fight on the card hosted by Maasim, Sarangani Mayor Jojo Lopez along with well-known promoter Sammy Gello-ani and Viva Sports will feature promising John Mark Apolinario against veteran Nino Suelo in a Philippine Boxing Federation super flyweight title belt.

Mayor Lopez, an avid boxing fan has his own stable of promising young fighters including Mepranum and Apolinario who will both be seeing action in title fights.

Viva Hot Babe Kay Villasenor will serve as round girl in the two big fights and is expected to add spice to the proceedings.
