Team Philippines’ U15 Women's Softball Team Eyes Strong Opening Round Start at the U15 Women's World Cup

Team Philippines is all set to give it their all and aim to dominate in the U15 Women's World Cup 2023, to take place from October 21 to October 29 in Tokyo, Japan.

The opening round promises a series of thrilling matches as the young and dynamic Team Philippines faces off against top contenders from various countries and continents. The Cebuana Lhuillier-backed team’s journey begins with their first game on October 21, where they will go head-to-head against Czechia at the Komazawa Olympic Park Sports Complex Baseball Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

The Philippine Team recently placed 3rd at the U15 Women's Softball Asia Cup, defeating opponents such as India, South Korea, Singapore, and Hong Kong while only being bested by powerhouse teams Japan and Chinese Taipei.

Jean Henri Lhuillier, President of the Philippine Softball Federation, expressed his optimism and said, "Team Philippines is ready to take on the world at the U15 Women's World Cup. Their dedication and hard work are remarkable and I am confident they will make our nation proud."

The players of Team Philippines U15 Women's Softball include:
Erica Arnaiz #24; Xyesha Margaret Atchioco #22; Leian Baylen #14; Grazie Bayot #17; Cristine Angel Calaguas #27; Jax Katiana Efrain Fontillas #21; Ericka Mae Gonzales #43; Tifnanie Jane Lorenzo #15; Zarene Mapa #99; Pilar Isabel Oblea #23; Sheena Joy Panteria #3; Ana Marie Piza #44; France Gene Ragas #4; Francine Jane Ragas #11; Daphne Maxinne Ramos #82; and Jannel Santos #12.
The delegation will be headed by Francis Carlos Diaz, Team Manager Michelle Ann Oblea, and Head Coach Nina Serafico. They will be accompanied by Pitching Coach Rizza Bernardino, Assistant Coaches Maricel Cabalda and Annalyn Ebreo, and Assistant Team Manager Giovanni Mapa.
