POC chief confident of successful campaign in World Youth Chess Championship next month in Montesilvano, Italy

TAGAYTAY CITY--- Filipino athletes are expected to perform well when they campaign in Montesilvano, Italy next month.

Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president and Tagaytay City mayor Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino expressed his confidence that Team Philippines will be successful in the FIDE World Youth Chess Championship, set for Nov.12-25 in Montesilvano, Italy.

The Team Philippines backed up by the Philippine Olympic Committee, Philippine Sports Commission, Department of Foreign Affairs and the National Chess Federation of the Philippines headed by its' chairman/president Prospero "Butch" Pichay Jr. is composed of delegation head WNM Venice Vicente, coaches NM Almario Marlon Quiroz Bernardino Jr., WFM Shania Mae Mendoza and Ederwin Estavillo and athletes FM Christian Gian Karlo Arca, FM Mark Jay Bacojo, NM Oscar Joseph Cantela, WNM Bonjoure Fille Suyamin, WNM Kaye Lalaine Regidor, WNM Franchesca Largo, Jirah Floravie Cutiyog, Charly Jhon Yamson, Mark Gabriel Usman, Maureinn Lepaopao and Anica Shey Dimatangihan.-Marlon Bernardino-
