MANILA---The Filipinos dominated the Korean team after a marvelous performance, ending the match with a 5-0 record favoring the RP Blu Girls at the 9th Asian Games Women’s Softball being held in Hangzhou, China.

This victory follows after a challenging defeat to powerhouse China team, 7-0. Nevertheless, the girls have bounced back with this huge win and are now headed to the super round where they will compete for the top spot in the tournament.

ASAPHIL President Jean Henri Lhuillier shared a message of unwavering support and optimism for the girls, saying, "The advancement to the super round is an enormous success for us! However, taking home the gold medal would be an even bigger accomplishment! We will continue to work hard, learn, and strive to be better as athletes and as a team, especially in our upcoming matches against other powerful teams. I believe that the girls have it in them to bring this one home!”

The super round begins this Friday, featuring the Blu Girls exclusively competing against the teams from Group A. The top two teams will compete for the gold medal, while the bottom two will face off in the bronze medal match.

Headed into the super round will be host country China, Japan and Chinese Taipei-Marlon Bernardino-
