2nd Congressman Alan "ALDU" R. Dujali Open Individual and Team Chess Championships is slated on September 30 and October 1

MANILA---Everything is set for the staging of 2nd Congressman Alan "ALDU" R. Dujali Open Individual and Team Chess Championships slated on September 30 and October 1 at the Maria Clara Resort, Barangay San Pedro, Panabo City, Davao del Norte.

It is a seven round Swiss system with 15 minutes plus 3 seconds increment rapid time control format. The 2-day event is supported by Rep. Alan "ALDU" R. Dujali.

The individual open champion will earn P20,000 plus a plaque of recognition. The second placer will get P10,000 plus a plaque of recognition while third will bring home P5,000 plus a plaque of recognition.

Fourth, fifth and sixth placers will receive P4,000, P3,000 and P2,000 plus certificate, respectively.

Seventh to 11th placers will pocket P1,000 plus a certificate each while 12th to 16th placers wouln't go empty-handed with P500 plus certificate each.

“Teams expected to see action are coming from Manila, Bacolod, Iloilo, Cebu, Pagadian, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, Davao del Norte, Digos, Zamboanga City and Davao City,” said Tournament Director Homer Rotulo.

The team champion will bring home P150,000 plus plaque of recognition. The second placer will receive P100,000 plus plaque of recognition while third will pocket P50,000 plus plaque of recognition.

Fourth to eight placers will earn P30,000, P20,000, P15,000, P10,000 and P5,000 plus certificates.
