Lhuillier welcomes new UTP National Junior Team members

Unified Tennis Philippines (UTP) President Jean Henri Lhuillier congratulated the players who recently qualified for the Elite Eight Playoffs, making them members of the UTP National Junior Team.

The players who qualified to the Elite Eight Playoffs were the top four juniors in Luzon, NCR, Visayas, and Mindanao in four age group categories, 18 and Under, 16 and Under, 14 and Under and 12 and Under in both boys and girls, totaling 16 players:

• 12 and Under Girls - Ma. Caroliean Fiel and Maristella Torrecampo
• 12 and Under Boys - Armik Serillo and Alexandre Coyiuto
• 14 and Under Girls - Jayden Reece Ballado and Jana Jelena Diaz
• 14 and Under Boys - Lexious Gabriel Cruz and Kenzo Brodeth
• 16 and Under Girls - Kimi Brodeth and Hannah Divinagracia
• 16 and Under Boys - Ken Bona and Mclean Gomera
• 18 and Under Girls - Kaye Ann Emana and Mica Ella Emana
• 18 and Under Boys - Mateo Victor Rivas and Vince Serna

“I would like to congratulate the new members of the UTP National Junior Team who will be representing our country in Malaysia. Your dedication, hard work, and countless hours of practice have brought you to this moment. Always remember that the UTP and our country are always behind your back to support you,” UTP President Jean Henri Lhuillier said.

The UTP National Junior Team will compete in the RGB Penang Open International Juniors Age Group and Tuanku Syed Putra International Junior Tennis Championship in Penang and Perlis, Malaysia, later this year.

The Elite Eight Playoffs was held in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, last June 1 to 4, 2023.-Marlon Bernardino-
