Gabriel ?Bebot? Elorde has appealed to World Boxing Organization president Francisco ?Paco? Valcarcel to move No.3 flyweight contender Drian Francisco (15-0-1, 11 ko?S) to No.1 so he (Elorde) could stage a ?possible world title fight in the Philippines.

Elorde cited the fact that the stylish Francisco is the reigning WBO Asia Pacific champion and was coming off a one-sided decision over Jun Eraham (8-14-2, 3 KO?s)last April 19.

The promoter said he was hoping to hear from Valcarcel as soon as possible ?so I can start negotiating with the manager of Omar Narvaez? of Argentina who is the current WBO flyweight champion. The undefeated Narvaez has a record of 27-0-2 with 17 knockouts and in his last fight on May 9 retained his title whenb Ivan Pozo retired in round seven.

Narvaez had scored a lopsided unanimous decision over Francisco?s stablemate Rexon Flores on August 5, 2006 in Cordoba, Argentina.

In an effort to convince the WBO president to grant his request, Elorde said ?we would like to request your presence in the Philippines to witness this historical WBO title fight. More power to WBO.?

Elorde apparently forgot that WBO bantamweight champion Gerry Penalosa defended his world title against mandatory challenger Ratanachai Sor Vorapin last April at the Araneta Coliseum.

Elorde informed Valcarcel he plans to stage the title fight on September 13.
