MANILA--- International Master Ronald Dableo scored a crucial win over Ryan Recososa in the seventh and final round to claim the championship of the Chess Infinitum Invitational Rapid Tournament 4th Edition at SM Sucat Building B in Paranaque City on Sunday, April 9, 2023.

That was all Dableo needed to nail the title with the highest output of 7.0 points. He pocketed P15,000 for his efforts.

"I knew that this was a tough tournament with all the players. I just tried to play my best and now I am really happy," said Dableo, ranked Private First Class at Philippine Army under the baton of Col. John Oliver F. Gabun, IMCOM unit commander of the Special Service Center.

Placing second was Norvin Gravillo (6 pts.) and third Chester Neil Reyes (6 pts.).
