Former ALA star and former word champion Milan Melindo (38-5, 14 KO's) still feels the passion for boxing and hears the inner call for glory and honor that inspire him to climb the ring tomorrow during Cebu's Sinulog Week.
Indeed, "El Metodico" is back into thrilling fighting mode, ready to test himself in battle once again, this time against tough and experienced Thai warrior Chaiwat Buatkrathok (38-7, 25 KO's).
During today's official weigh-in ceremony at the SM Seaside Cebu, the 34-year-old Melido stepped on the scale at 126 pounds while the Thai warrior Chaiwat, 30, came-in half pound lighter at 125.50 lbs.
Both warriors looked strong and focused ahead of their hot WBC OPBF Silver Featherweight title showdown tomorrow Wednesday, January 11, at the Cebu City Sport Complex in Sinulog-festive Cebu City.
Will Melindo prove to his many fans that he still owes the fighting skills needed to climb up to the top of the featherweight division?
Or will the dangerous Thai Chaiwat, the boxer former Muay Thai combatant who arrived last night from Bangkok is in Cebu destined to stun and rock the beloved Milan Melindo? Fans need to find out!
That's why all boxing fans in The Queen City of the South are more than welcome tomorrow at the Cebu City Sports Complex to cheer for the popular Milan Melindo in his crucial fight against Chaiwat Buatkrathok, a good fighter handled by Thailand coach/promoter Supanat Chanram and Thai former WBC Super Flyweight Suriyan Kraimanee.
