Inigo settles for bronze medal in Batang Pinoy

MANILA---Michael Jan Stephen Rosalem Inigo of Bayawan City, Negros Oriental lost to Daniel Gil Eclevia of Zambales City on Monday to settle for the bronze medal in the 15 Under Male Batang Pinoy Blitz Category in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.

It was a sorry loss to Inigo who won his first six assignments and needed only a draw in the seventh and final round to secure the title and the gold medal.

Thus Inigo remains at 6.0 points, the same output of Cedric Kahlel Abris of Mandaluyong City, Mark Noah D. Ventayen of Pangasinan and Eclevia.

After the tie break points was applied, Abris took first for the gold, Ventayen wound up second for the silver, Inigo settled for a third place finish for the bronze medal while Eclevia landed at fourth.

Inigo also won another bronze medal in the 15 Under Male Batang Pinoy Standard category.-Marlon Bernardino-
