Filipino-American Jordan Clarkson has shown, time and again, how Pinoy DNA is world-class— helping Utah snap a five-game skid and push the Jazz above the 0.500 mark at 13-11.

Filipinos can be proud of Clarkson who thrive against all odds and provide human highlight reels ala Michael Jordan, tongue and all.

Tonight’s game at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, give or take an hyperbole, was no exception, as Utah’s star point guard scored 33 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists against the LA Clippers who were on their second of back-to-back games and without their stars.

The tag-team of Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson set the pace, had the Clippers mainly on the defensive all night, and combined for 54 points and 11 assists.

At the 08:40 mark, Sexton grabbed a rebound then dished to a wide-open Clarkson who drained a 24-foot 3-pointer from the left corner to push Utah 105-95, and the game out of reach.

Utah had 24 fastbreak points to LAC’s 11, and scored more in the paint 52-42. Utah also controlled both boards out rebounding LAC 46-39.

As a team, the Jazz was firing on all cylinders as they sank 45 of 82 baskets (54.9% FG) and sniped 14 of 32 treys (43.8% 3-PT).

As a team, LAC stayed competitive despite their depleted squad, making 37 of 93 buckets (39.8% FG) and completing a respectable 10 of 30 treys (33.3% 3-PT).

The Clippers may have had an excuse, for they were without the vaunted quadro composed of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Norman Powell and Luke Kennard, but it should not diminish Utah’s win on Wednesday night.

A win is a win, so they say.

Upcoming:

Utah Jazz: Host the Indiana Pacers Friday, December 3, 2022 (their second second game of a five-game home stand).

LA Clippers: Host the Sacramento Kings on Friday, December 3, 2022.
