WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol will fight former WBO super middleweight titlist Gilberto Ramirez on Saturday at Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

On May 7, Bivol totally outclassed undisputed super middleweight champion Saul Canelo Alvarez, dealing the Mexican icon his first defeat since losing to Floyd Mayweather Jr. September 2013 by majority decision.
* * *
Bivol won the fight by unanimous decision, 115–113 on all three scorecards. Per CompuBox punch statistics, Bivol had outlanded Álvarez in every single round of the fight, for a total of 152 punches connected out of 710 thrown (21%), compared to Alvarez's 84 of 495 (17%).
* * *
Bivol was the bigger fighter against Canelo in May, with a height advantage. But in this fight, Bivol is shorter. Ramirez is taller than Bivol of more than two inches, longer in reach than Bivol, and probably stronger in punching power.

Donovan Mitchell is arguably considered by experts as the top acquisition of the 2022 offseason, as he helped Cleveland Cavaliers to a 6-1 record. Last Wednesday he led the team in an overtime victory against the Boston Celtics for the Cavaliers' sixth straight win. He is considered in the ranked players for the 2022-23 Kia Race to the MVP Ladder, as the Cleveland sensation is now ranked at No. 3 on the list.

The NBA’s leading scorer and best bet to garner his first MVP award, Luka Doncic barged into the record books Wednesday by seizing his seventh consecutive game with at least 30 points in the Dallas Mavericks’ 103-100 victory against the Utah Jazz. Doncic’s latest accomplishment went down in NBA's history as the longest 30-point streak at the start of the season since 1962-63, the time when Wilt Chamberlain electrified the basketball world with his 23-consecutive 30-point games.

Excluding his season debut of 21 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo has scored at least 30 points in six consecutive games. It equaled his streak from November of 2019. He now leads the Bucks to a 7-0 record, the only unbeaten team so far this season. That perfect start ranks as Milwaukee’s best start since the 2018-19 season.

Antetokounmpo, 27, puts up another 30-point game Friday at Minnesota and he tied the third-longest 30-point scoring streak in the Bucks' franchise history. Last season, he became the first player in NBA history to average at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and five assists for four consecutive seasons, and that streak looks like to continue.

The Bucks have won their 8th consecutive game when they humbled the MinnesotaTimberwolves, 115-102. Antetokounmpo poured in 26 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and handed 11 assists for the Bucks, while Jrue Holiday added 29 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 22 points, 11 rebounds and five assists for the Timberwolves in their loss. The Bucks improve their record to 8-0, while the Timberwolves dropped to 4-5.
