
Oncita siblings to headline Asian Juniors and Girls Chess Championships

MANILA---Some of the country’s rated players led by highly-touted Oncita siblings, Sumer Justine and Princes Louise, are set to compete in the Asian Juniors and Girls Chess Championships to be held on November 17 to 26 at the Knights Templar Hotel in Tagaytay City.
Sumer Justine, 11, a Grade 6 student of Manggahan Elementary School, Pasig City and Princes Louise, 17, a Grade 12 student of Greenland Academy are currently competing in National Chess Federation of the Philippines National Chess Tournament hosted by Malolos City, Bulacan.
The Oncita siblings, playing under the guidance of mayor Vico Sotto, coach Franco Camillo, Kap.Shiela de Asis, Sir Jessie Villasin, BBT Family San Joaquin, Yolan Oncita, Sonia Guillermo,Mam Marlyn Magleo,Mam Olive Tejada, PSRC Production family,Napico Chess Club headed by Pres.Art Vintocilla,Coach Miguel Soria, Nanay Lourdes Fernandez,both are aiming to perform well in the upcoming Asian Juniors and Girls Chess Championships, hosted by Tagaytay City Mayor Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino, who is also the president of the Philippine Olympic Committee and an honorary member of the International Chess Federation (FIDE).-Marlon Bernardino-
