Princes Louise F. Oncita to play in National Youth and Schools Chess Championships

MANILA---PH chess wizard Princes Louise F. Oncita of Pasig City is set to compete in the Grandfinals of the National Youth and Schools Chess Championships to be held on September 16-23, 2022 in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte.

The 17-year-old Oncita, a Grade 12 of student of Greenland Academy in Cainta, Rizal, will be pitted against some of the country's best woodpushers in the Girls Under-17 division, hosted by NCFP board of director Seth Frederick P. Jalosjos, who is also the mayor of Dapitan City.

"I hope to do well in this tournament," said Oncita, whose stint here is being supported by Bible Baptist Temple San Joaquin, Pasig under the leadership of Pastor Eduardo Boniog, Pasig City mayor Vico Sotto and Mangahan chairwoman Sheila De Asis.
