Thick and Thin Chess Team to compete in Tatluhan Chess team tourney

Thick and Thin Chess Team is set to compete in the Hon. Manny D. Pacquiao and Changsuk Lyu Open Tatluhan Team Chess Tournament to be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at the Robinsons Galleria Mall, level 1 Atrium, Ortigas, Quezon City.

Thick and Thin Chess Team is headed by National Master Almario Marlon Quiroz Bernardino Jr., siblings Elizsa Gayle and Elize Caryl Cafirma will showcase their skills and talents in the 64 square board in this seven round Swiss system tournament.
The event is supported by Hon. Pacquiao and Mr. Changsuk Lyu and organized by United States chess master Rodolfo "Jun" Panopio Jr.
Other teams expected to see action are OJ Reyes team, Pajafers, King Nico Tire, Maya, Antipolo, Rizal, Jason Rojo team A and B, Larry dumadag, A, B, C, D team, AQ Prime, Big boys, Andel Care, Team Bacoor, Ramayrat chess team, Wizard Manpower chess team, Babin Smith, Ron Hermida A and B, engr. Ingcad A, B, and C, Weapon X, Ubanan twins, Coast Buster, RNB knights and Rakius dental.

The team champion will earn P30,000 plus a trophy and a medals. The second placer will get P20,000 plus a trophy and a medals while the third placer will receive P15,000 plus a trophy and a medals.

The fourth placer will bring home P9,000 plus medals while the fifth placer will pocket P7,000 plus medals.

P3,000 each awaits to the sixth to tenth placer as well top 1950 and below and top senior 55 above.-Marlon Bernardino-
