
Rodolfo Enrique "Kopiko Kopiko" Rivera to compete in first Avocadoria Fide Rated Rapid Chess Championship

MANILA---Lawyer Rodolfo Enrique "Kopiko Kopiko" Rivera will be competing in the first Fide Rated Rapid Chess Championship to be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Avocadoria.ph Rainbow Restaurant, 95 Rainbow Street, Concepcion Dos, Marikina City.
Rivera, a veteran chess player from Quezon City and Caloocan City will display his skills and talents in the 64 square board.
"I hope to do well in this event," said Lawyer Rivera, legal counsel of Bayanihan Chess Club.
"We are honoured to have him play," said tournament director Donna De Guzman Apolinar.
Other woodpushers vying in the event are Rolly Jon Baliwang, Donato Bello Jr., Jerico Bello, Michael Joshua Broqueza, Elize Caryl Cafirma, Elisza Gayle Cafirma, Mar Aviel Carredo, Justin Bryan Chong, Gerald Gas, Andro Huerto and Joshua Villa.
Chief Arbiter is NA Ranier Pascual.
Rivera is also scheduled to represent the country in the 2022 South Island Chess Championships on October 5 to 8, South Island Rapidplay Chess Championship on October 9 both tournaments take place at the Kevin Hotel, Invercargill, New Zealand and the prestigous Asian Seniors Chess Championships 2022 slated on October 14 to 22 in Auckland, New Zealand.-Marlon Bernardino-
