GABEJAN LOSES IN IBF REGIONAL TITLE FIGHT

Edgar Gabejan has lost a unanimous twelve round decision to Thailand?s Fahsai Sakkreerin in an IBF Pan Pacific featherweight title fight in Maehongson.
All three judges turned in identical 116-112 scorecards in favor of the 36 year old Fahsai who improved his record to 22-1 with 8 knockouts. Gabejan dropped to 5-12-2 with 0 knockouts according to boxrec.com.
Gabejan had earlier lost by a unanimous eleven round decision to another Thai fighter, Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym in a Pan Asia Boxing Association super bantamweight title fight last January 17.
The WBA has instituted a new rule that stipulates eleven rounds from the previous twelve for regional title fights.
