
Lising rules Dasmariñas rapid chess championship

MANILA---Benjamin Lising ruled via tiebreak the 2nd Luzviminda 1 2150 and below Rapid Chess Championship at the Barangay Luzviminda 1 Covered Court in Dasmariñas City, Cavite on Sunday, May 1, 2022.
Lising, tied for first-third places with Kevin Mirano and Jayson Danday in the 1 day rapid chess tournament, jointly organized by National Arbiter Mark Anthony Dulatre and Fide Master Robert Suelo Jr.
The triumvirate tallied 6.0 points each, however with the highest tiebreak points, Lising took the title Mirano wound up second while Danday finished third.
Renie Malupa and Amier Zomer were fourth and fifth with 5.5 points apiece.
Rounding up the top 11 who got 5.0 points each were Jerome Angelo Aragones (sixth), Riomar Lago (seventh), Renante Aureada (eight), Cyrus James Damiray (ninth), Rolando "Rolly" Yutuc (tenth) and Eric Mordido (eleventh).
Adjudged category winners were Queenie Mae Samarita (top lady), Arthur Turla (top Dasmariñas), Celso Sandrejo Jr. (top 1900 and below), Richard Micoleta (top 1800 and below), Ilsen Daet (top unrated) and Nhiexel Pelisco (top kiddy).-Marlon Bernardino-
