Orient Pacific Boxing Federation No. 12 super featherweight Rey Anton Olarte has pulled out of his scheduled bout against Australian lightweight Lincoln Stewart at the Town Hall in Malvern, Melbourne on April 24.
?Promoter of the Year? Peter Maniatis who manages Stewart informed Viva Sports/Manila Standard Today that Olarte ?pulled out with a sore hand? and that former Pan Asia Boxing Association champion Jun Paderna would battle Stewart who has a record of 14-3-1 with 12 knockouts and is regarded as a possible OPBF title contender.
Maniatis said that in his last fight against former IBF super featherweight champion Gary St. Clair on April 11, the hard-hitting Paderna gave St. Clair a ?very tough fight? before losing by a majority decision.
In a previous fight against top Australian prospect Heath Ellis , Paderna broke the young fighter?s jaw in the opening round and battled Ellis all the way in an action-packed six round bout which resulted in a majority draw
