
Chessmis TV , Cosbusters top rivals to advance in PCL finals

MANILA---It’s the defending champion Chessmis TV Chess Team versus the Cosbusters Philippines Corp. Chess Team for the title duel of the Philippine Chess League (PCL) Season 2 online chess tournament on Friday to be held at Lichess Platform.
The Chessmis TV Chess Team stunned the Surigao Diamond Portrait Knight Chess Team, 250-211 points while the Philippines Corp. Chess Team nipped San Miguel Chess Association, 244-180 points.
Notable performance came from Anatoly Pascua, a former top player of University of Santo Tomas chess team finishing with 17 points to spearheaded Chessmis TV Chess Team into a 129-103 victory over Surigao Diamond Portrait Knight Chess Team in the Fischer random chess, also known as Chess960 Semi Finals Game 2 Sunday night applying the five minutes plus two seconds increment time control format.
Junmark Baldesimo, Alji Cantonjos 13 points, Reynaldo Aba-a added 14, 13 and 12 markers, respectively.
Also delivering for the Chessmis TV were Kharl Manliguez (11 pts.), Adrian Yulo (10 pts.), Nazario Ubanan (9 pts.), playing coach Jimmy Dano (6 pts.), Bobby Salomon (6 pts.), Arian Belly Calido (5 pts.), Lexis Bruce Portacion (5 pts.), John Chua (3 pts.) and Michael Tinga (3 pts.), respectively.
Christian Mendoza tallied 10 points for the kiddies division while Ma.Arlene A. Antiquina Ablin contribute 3 points for the Female category.
Meanwhile, Adrian Esteva (10 pts.), playing team manager Jezreel Lopez (9 pts.), Freddie Talaboc (9 pts.) and Ervil Villa (8 pts.) joined forces to power Cosbusters Philippines Corp. into a 97-91 victory over San Miguel Chess Association.
“We are very happy because we thought we were lucky to advance to the finals,” said Cosbusters Philippines Corp. Team Owner Billy Joe Ereno.
Other members of the team were Michael Pinar (7 pts.), Francis Talaboc (7 pts.), Roumundo Edades Jr. (7 pts.), Fern Albert Falle (6 pts.), Jones Maghuyop (6 pts.), Abdelmunim Hassan (5 pts.) and engr. Bren Sasot (1 pt.).
Kate Ordizo (11 pts.) is the female player while Keith Adriane Ilar (7 points) and Yosef Immanuel Morada (4 pts.) are the kiddies bets.
