Although Efren ?Bata? Reyes has moved into second place in the internet poll conducted by the International Pool Tour where the two top players chosen by the fans will compete in a viewers Ultimate 8-Ball Challenge Match, there?s a sudden challenge posed by Austin Murphy of the US whose surge has dropped former No.2 Gerda Hofstatter to No. 4 with Earl Strickland at No. 5.

Leading the tally from Day One has been Vilmos Foldes of Hungary who is reportedly receiving tremendous support from a Hungarian pool site and appeals posted on different pool forums.

Reyes who has received 13.26 percent of the votes tallied as of yesterday compared to the 19.15 percent of Foldes is now under some threat from Murphy who has 10.68 percent of the votes with voting ending on April 8 in the US.

Reyes strengthened his hold on the No.2 spot largely due to an appeal for support on the internationally popular philboxing.com website of journalist Dong Secuya.

In fact the need now is for more Filipinos to vote for Reyes before the polls close. Registration is easy and each fan is given five votes. All they have to do is to go to the IPT Tour website and register and vote.
