AFM Jaymiel Piel Overall Leader

Arena FIDE Master Jaymiel Piel of Odiongan, Romblon tallied 114 points to grab 1st place of the monthly Romblon Chess Club Grand Prix. AFM Piel took 2nd place in GP-1 behind Christian Ygerr Servanez. Another 2nd place finish in GP-2 behind NM Jasper Faeldonia, 3rd place finish in GP-3 behind Bryan Blair Fallarme, and another 3rd place finish behind NM Jasper Faeldonia in GP-4. With the following accomplishments, AFM Jaymiel Piel leads 16 points ahead of 2nd placer Dr. Jenny Mayor of Cajidiocan Romblon who got a total of 98 points. Rounding up the top 10 are Christian Ygerr Servanez, 3rd with 97 points, John Paul Canulo, 4th with 93 points, NM Jasper Faeldonia at 5th with 87 points, Jerry Morada Jr. at 6th with 77 points, Jay EL Fallurin Fabiala at 7th with 75 points, Vance Fetil Fajarit at 8th with 69 points, Joel Forcadas at 9th with 67 points, Jayson San Jose Visca at 10th with 58 points.

Mabuhay ang mga Romblomanon Chess Players," said Engr. Ernie Faeldonia.

AFM Piel is a Grade 5 Student of Maragondon Elementary School.
The 11 year old AFM Piel local and International chess campaign is supported by Ternate,Cavite Mayor Lamberto D. Bambao and Councilor Calvin Kenneth "Kim" Soberano, playing under the guidance of Philippine Correspondence Chess Association Founder - Chairman Arthur Simplina , FA/FI Ronnie M. Tabudlong and NM Amor Simplina.

He is an active member of the Philippine Correspondence Chess Association, Metro Davao Youth Chess Club Inc., Romblon Chess Club and Espana Chess Club.-Marlon Bernardino-
