Tarlac hosts Pacquiao chess

MANILA, Philippines - Paniqui, Tarlac will host the third leg of the Hon. Sen. Manny Pacquiao Over the Board chess tournament on January 16, 2022, 10am at Paniqui South Central Elementary School.

Registration is now in full swing. Fee is pegged at P200 plus free food pack on a first-come, first-served basis. No on-site registration.

"Only vaccinated chess players can join," said Leg coordinator NA Alfred Miranda (09318588497).

The inauguration tournament won by Jerry Areque last January 8, 2022 in Barangay San Felix in Santo Tomas, Batangas according to Mr. Jun Panopio while the second leg goes to Tiaong Quezon on January 15, 2022.

The champion will earn P6,000 plus a trophy. The second placer will get P4,000 plus a medal, third placer will receive P2,500 plus a medal, fourth placer will bring home P2,000 plus a medal while the fifth placer will pocket P1,500 plus a medal.

Sixth to 12th placers will go home P1,000 each plus a medals.
Special prizes for the top performer for Junior and Paniqui player.
