Chess tourney set in Pagadian

MANILA---The Mayor Samuel "Sammy" S. Co Pasalamat Festival 2022 Individual Rapid Chess Championship (Over the Board) is slated on January 12 and 13, 2022 at the Rotunda Building 2nd Floor in Pagadian City.
"Players must be vaccinated to join (single dose is considered)," said Mr. Jezreel Lopez.
"Pagadian is the fastest growing city in Mindanao," he added.
The 2-day event is sponsored by the City Government of Pagadian thru Mayor Sammy S. Co, organized by the PagZamSur Professional Chess Players Association and the Brotherood of Knights of the Squaretable, Inc.
The champion will earn P15,000. The second placer will get P10,000, third P6,000, fourth P4,000, fifth P2,000 and sixth P1,000.
Seventh to tenth places will receive P700 each while 11th to 15th place will bring home P500 each. To those who make it to the top 25th place will pocket P300 each.
Special prizes for the top performer Executive, Senior, Junior, KIddy and Lady.
