NM Ivan Travis Cu wins Over the Board Rapid chess tournament

MANDALUYONG CITY---National Master (NM) Ivan Travis Cu won the End of the Year Over the Board Rapid Chess Tournament by beating Alejandro "Doods" Segales in the final round at the Open Kitchen, Rockwell Business Center-Sheridan, Highwayhills, Greenfields District in Mandaluyong City on Monday, December 27, 2021.
The 12-year old Cu, a Grade 7 pupil of Xavier School in San Juan City ended up with 4.5 points in five outings, good enough for the chess title in the event backed by Mr. Teddy Cu in close cooperation with Ms. Mimi Casas and National Master Romeo Alcodia.

National Master (NM) Almario Marlon Bernardino Jr. and Gary Garcia finished with 3.5 points each to share second to third places.

Noel Jay Estacio took the fourth spot with 2 points followed by fifth place Alejandro "Doods" Segales who had 1 point.
In sixth place is Eduardo Campos Jr. who had 0.5 point.-Marlon Bernardino-
