A surge of votes for ?The Magician?, Efren ?Bata Reyes of the Philippines has enabled him to move into second place in the online voting by fans for the two players who will battle each other in the International Pool Tour Ultimate 8-Ball Viewers Challenge Match.
Vilmos Foldes of Hungary continues to lead the voting with 16.65 percent of the votes cast so far while Reyes moved into second spot with 11.21 percent with Gerda Hofstatter dropping down to third with 9.42 percent.
Anybody is entitled to register as a basic member and vote with pool enthusiasts now given a chance to cast five votes per day. The voting ends on April 8.
An appeal on the extremely popular Philboxing.com internet site to Filipinos to support our pool players obviously received an immediate response enabling Reyes to overcome the campaign which was being run by a popular Hungarian pool site for Foldes and personal appeals on various forums by some of the other players.
The Viewers Challenge Match will be held on April 29 and will be carried ?live? on the IPT website.
In an undercard match to the race-to-15 finals, Oliver Ortmann will meet dangerous John Schmidt.
