GM Joey Antonio to play chess simultaneous games in Kamuning

MANILA-- 13-time Philippine Open Champion Grandmaster Rogelio "Joey" Antonio Jr. will hold simultaneous chess exhibition games as part of grassroots development program of Bayanihan Chess Club on December 4 (Saturday), 1 p.m. at Barangay Kamuning Barangay Hall in Kamuning, Quezon City.

Mr. Antonio will play against ten (10) select bonafide resident of Kamuning during the event hosted by Quezon City Fourth District Councilor Janet "Babes" Malaya and Atty. Rudy Rivera in cooperation with Quezon City Department of Public Order and Safety (QC-DPOS) head Ret. Gen. Elmo San Diego, Barangay Kamuning Chairman Armida Castel and brgy council, Barkadahan Para sa Bansa Party List Atty. Nolan V Banda and National Campaign Manager (CPA) Dr. Ariel Potot and Barangay Kaunlaran kag. Jun Dordas.

"We would like to thank Quezon City fourth district councilor Janet "Babes" Malaya and Atty. Rudy Rivera in close cooperation with Barkadahan Para sa Bansa Party List headed by Atty. Nolan V. Banda and Dr. Ariel B. Potot, Barangay Kaunlaran kag. Jun Dordas, Barangay Kamuning Chairman Armida Castel and brgy council, with Quezon City Department of Public Order and Safety (QC-DPOS) head Ret. Gen. Elmo San Diego for supporting this chess event," said Mr. Antonio, 2015 Quezon City Most Outstanding Athlete awardee.
Among those invited to play representing Barangay Kamuning are Norvin Gravillo and Abraham "Abe" Tecson.

In the inauguration held last November 19 at Planas Site Covered Court in Barangay Kaunlaran, Mr. Antonio tallied 7 wins and 3 Draws.-Marlon Bernardino-
