NEW YORK -- At a well-chiseled 117.6 pounds, bantamweight Jonas Sultan easily made weight for his highly-anticipated showdown with unbeaten Puerto Rican prospect Carlos Caraballo tomorrow night at the Hulu theater inside the Madison Square Garden.

A protege of the great Miguel Cotto, the 25-year old Carballo packs an undefeated slate of 14-0 with 14 KOs. He has never gone past the fourth round.

Sultan, meanwhile, is a vastly experienced fighter who once challenged and lost to IBF super flyweight champion Jerwin Ancajas. The 29-year old Sultan, a native of Zamboanga City, carries a 17-5 card with 11 KOs.

The Sultan-Caraballo tiff is the co-feature of a Top Rank event that airs on ESPN. (HDS)
