N1 Updates: Eric Frigillana leads IIEE Metro South for a win to crowd Bracket A

MANILA, Philippines---The chapter vice president of IIEE Metro South shows his perfect form to win in the 3rd round of the N1 IIEE National Chess Olympiad last October 1, 2021.
Here’s the results after Round 3 for all the brackets:
BRACKET A: IIEE Cagayan de Oro (3-0, win-loss) remain unbeaten after winning against Southern Laguna Chapter (2-1). Both have 50 lichess points after 3rd round. The win of IIEE Metro South (46 total lichess) against Northern Cavite (31) coupled by a win of IIEE Iloilo (44) to Central Region Chapter Saudi Arabia (43) resulted to a quadruple tie at 1-2.
BRACKET B: Southwest Mindanao (3-0, 64 lichess total) assured for playoff spot after drubbing Visayas (1-2, 31pts); IIEE Metro Central (2.5-0.5, 52pts) draws with IIEE Camarines (1.5-1.5, 34 pts); IIEE Cebu (1-2, 30pts) got its first win in the expense of Abu Dhabi UAE (0-3, 6pts).
BRACKET C: Southern Tagalog (2.5-0.5, 63 pts) leads this bracket after downing IIEE Metro East (1-2, 34pts); IIEE Metro West (2-1, 48pts) draws with IIEE Bahrain (0.5-2.5, 41 pts.); IIEE La Inion-CKAB (1-2, 35pts) defeated IIEE Bulacan (2-1, 48pt)
BRACKET D: IIEE Western Region Chapter Saudi Arabia (3-0, 57pts) got 3 wins in a row against IIEE Bataan (1.5-1.5, 45pts); IIEE Singapore (2-1, 58pts) got their back to back wins against IIEE Central Laguna (0-3, 18pts); IIEE Metro North (1-2, 36pts) got a win in expense of IIEE Eastern Region Chapter Saudi Arabia (1.5-1.5, 34pts)
In the regional team battle, the team ranks are as follows: 1st – Northern Mindanao (131pts and 4 least cumulative rank); 2nd - Metro Manila (102pts & 4), 3rd – Western Visayas (97pts & 4), 4th – Eastern Central Visayas (105pts & 5), 5th - Southern Luzon (80pts & 5); 6th – Bicol Region (80 pts & 6); 7th - Northern Luzon (70pts & 6); 8th – Central Luzon (38pts & 8); 9th - Foreign Region (101pts & 9) and 10th – Southern-Western Mindanao (31pts & 9).
