
PH chess whiz kid Michael Jan Stephen Inigo excited to represent the Philippines

MANILA, Philippines---Filipino chess wizard Michael Jan Stephen "Bonbon" Rosalem Inigo is expected to go high in the Eastern Asia Youth chess championship slated from October 1-3, 2021.
The 13-year-old Inigo, a Grade 8 student of Bayawan City Science and Technology Education Center (BCSTEC) is fresh from a runner-up finish in the Under-14 boys Eastern Asia Youth selection last September 12, 2021.
"Congratulations Kuya "Bon2x" Michael Jan Stephen Inigo, 2nd Place of the currently concluded selection event for Eastern Asia Youth Chess championship 2021 in the field of Chess U14 Boys dated September 11 & 12, 2021 via Tornelo Platform," said proud mother Jeanshen Rosalem, co-team manager of PCAP's Negros Kingsmen.
Bonbon is continuing his advanced one on one training by his Coach FM Nelson "Elo" Mariano III of Red Kings Kid in Manila as well as his other trainer AGM Voltaire Marc Paraguya and other partners.
Fondly called Bonbon in the chess world, he is also part of the Philippines Team B ranking 8th overall in the 15U Boys Open Division ASIAN Schools Chess Championships 2021 and for finishing as #28 out of 103 Chess Players in the entire Asian Region. He is also the 2nd highest scoring player in the whole Philippine Delegation.-Marlon Bernardino-
