IM Young wins PPKGCC online chess tournament

MANILA, Philippines---International Master Angelo Abundo Young stamped his class again by topping the PPKGCC- Pwede Pa Kami Group Chess Club online chess tournament last September 5, 2021 at lichess.org.
Young, an 8-time Illinois USA Champion, dominated the competition with 7.5 points.
National Master (NM) Ronald Llavanes and Engr. Joel Hicap placed second and third with 6.5 points apiece.
Karlo Enrico settled for fourth place with 6 points.
Gary Legaspi, Ricardo Jimenez and Rene del Castillo placed fifth, sixth and seventh, respectively with 5.5 points.-Marlon Bernardino-
