Busa Yields To Tiauson in Mobile Chess Club Philippines

MANILA, Philippines---Nelson Busa Jr. failed to beat Recarte Tiauson in the Mobile Chess Club Philippines Match Up Series Blitz Edition late Friday, August 27, 2021 virtually held at Chess.com Platform.

Tiauson asserted his dominance over Busa, 9-6, in the race-to-9, draws not counted, 3 minutes plus 2 seconds increment time control format. The event was aired worldwide through the Internet live streaming at Mobile Chess Club Philippines.
Tiauson, who is called the "Wolverine", led the entire match 8-1, before Busa rallied at the end to get within close match at 8-6. From there Tiauson, won the final game en route to the 9-6 victory.

"Luck was on my side until the end," said Tiauson, Technical Account Manager at RingCentral under the guidance of Senior Director Alex Reyes and Senior Manager Tristan Navarrete.
The Talisay City, Negros Occidental native Tiauson is best to remembered taking third place during the 8th HDBank Cup International Open Chess Tournament, which took place at the Army Hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam three years ago.-Marlon Bernardino-
