Mandaluyong’s Antonella Berthe Racasa Earns Woman National Master Title

MANILA, Philippines---Antonella Berthe Racasa from Mandaluyong City earned a Woman National Master Title.

Racasa who studies at Homeschool Global, showed she has the skills against elder opposition.

"These things can happen when you want to win so much and are playing so intensely," said Robert Racasa, father and coach of Antonella Berthe dubbed as God Father of Philippine Memory.
The 14-year-old Racasa brought honor and pride to the country in the past winning numerous International tournament such as the ASEAN Age Group Chess Championships, a gold medal in the Girls 12 and under in the 20018 edition in Davao City, Philippines and a bronze medal finish in the 2017 edition in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia.

"NCFP is pleased to confirm herewith that Antonella Berthe Racasa has obtained the title of Woman National Master in the year 2021," said National Chess Federation of the Philippines Chairman/President Senior Deputy Speaker Prospero "Butch" Arreza Pichay Jr.

The chess whiz kid’s stint is being supported by Mandalyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos, MMDA Chairman Benhur Abalos Jr., councilor Charisse Abalos, sportsman Reli De Leon, Rogelio Lim of Boni Towers, Mam Rose Montenegro of Makati Med, Jean Altobano of Multimodal Security Agency, Mam Sue Geminiano of Sogo Hotel, Sir Hermie Esguerra, Sir Raffy Garcia of Rotary Club of Pasig and Boss Edgard Cabangon of ALC Group of companies. -Marlon Bernardino-
