Santa Rita Mayor Honors Newly Minted 9-Year-Old National Master Oshrie Reyes

Santa Rita, Pampanga---Santa Rita Mayor Ferdinand L. Salalila commended the exemplary accomplishments of Oshrie Jhames Constantino Reyes, a resident of Barangay Dila-Dila, in the field of chess. The young chess prodigy Reyes has obtained the title National Master conferred by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines in 2021 after winning the 2021 National Age Group Hybrid Chess Championships Grandfinals Under-10 division held online via the Tornelo platform from June 26 to June 29, 2021.
Aside from his numerous national awards, the 9-year-old Reyes, a grade 4 student of EZEE, Guagua, Pampanga has brought honor to the Philippines by winning three silver medals in the 20th Myanmar ASEAN+ Age Group Chess Championships in 2019.-Marlon Bernardino-
