Gongora beat the Favorite 8-1 Akhmedov in GGG-Szeremeta in Florida

In a clash between undefeated super middleweights, Carlos Góngora (19-0, 14 KOs) defeated with a twelfth round KO over 8:1 favorite Ali Akhmedov (16-1, 12 KOs) to claim the vacant IBO title at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Hollywood, Florida.
Akhmedov dominated early, but Gongora turned the tide of the fight and dropped Akhmedov twice in the final round. The time was 1:57. Akhmedov was ahead on all three cards going into the final round.
